Carla Morgan; HBCE, Holistic Sleep Consultant, Placenta Encapsulation Specialist
I love that HypnoBirthing® is an incredibly simple yet effective way of helping mums feel more confident about birthing. It empowers mums and their birth partners to take an active role in their labour and birth, so together they can make decisions to have the birth they want.
I also love that HypnoBirthing® philosophy, techniques and skills have a far greater application than pregnancy, labour and birth. HypnoBirthing® parents often tell me they use their HypnoBirthing® techniques throughout all aspects of their lives.
I’m a passionate birth advocate, educator and mother to two glorious children.
My other unique skills include helping pregnant mothers and families with young children improve their sleep with Holistic Sleep Solutions. I am an IMPI Maternity and Child Sleep Consultant and offer sleep workshops for newborns through to toddlers as well as in-home and Skype Individualised Consultations. I also have a keen interest in all things ‘placenta’ and as an IPEN trained Placenta Encapsulation Specialist offer these services to women in and around Brisbane.
Patrica Cumming; HBCE, Doula
A few of the things I love about HypnoBirthing® include the differences I see in couples as they transition through the course, noting how positive & confident they become, how open they are to new possibilities and the realisation that birth can be a joyous experience. Lastly, I love the babies…cuddling those gorgeous newborns!
My other unique skills include being a certified Childbirth Doula. That came about several years ago when a HypnoBirthing mum in one of my classes asked me to support her during her home birth. I readily agreed and soon found that other mums wanted me to support them. I then decided to become a certified Doula. Now as I witness the power of the mind over and over again I have undertaken study to obtain a Diploma of Clinical Hypnotherapy. One day I hope to be a Midwife too!
Charlotte Hogarth; Midwife, HBCE
I have always known that women needed to achieve a good headspace to labour and birth from my work in delivery suite, but after my second birth I realised it is not as simple as knowing what to expect and what you need to do. This is how I came to HypnoBirthing.
I have been lucky to have beautiful births for all of my children, however, how I felt about each of them is entirely different. This is the biggest difference HypnoBirthing made for me and my biggest love about the program. In mentally and emotionally preparing women and their birth teams for birth it means no matter what turn your birthing takes, you will feel empowered, you will not just have the birth you want but you will be ecstatic with your birthing experience.
I love how the program incorporates EVERY aspect of preparation within its program, especially preparing birth supports. For me teaching this course is not about preparing you for a drug free natural home birth (this course is perfect for that!), it is about teaching women and partners to be educated and to make their own choices for their pregnancy, birth and baby. It is about giving birth and control back to women and their families.
My other unique skills include my background and education as a midwife. I have worked in a number of hospitals in Queensland and interstate. I have worked in private and public systems, in low risk and high risk hospitals; I understand the policies, the education and especially how to navigate the system of midwives and doctors. I have a passion for educating women and families so also provide a number of other childbirth education options including birth preparation appointments and essential oil for pregnancy and birth. I also have 3 boys within 5 years so feel that is a skill in itself 😊.
I provide private and group classes in Brisbane Western Suburb and Ipswich Suburbs and Surrounds
Marian O’Neill; HBCE, MSc. Adult Ed.
Hi, I’m Marian, mother of two girls and a passionate HypnoBirthing® Childbirth Educator in Norman Park, Brisbane.
Having learned first-hand how the quality of childbirth education varies significantly and how it can hugely impact a woman’s pregnancy, birth journey and beyond, I decided to join this world-renowned modality and personally deliver courses to ensure more families have better access to quality childbirth education.
Through the comprehensive education, self-hypnosis, special breathing and visualisation techniques offered by HypnoBirthing®, I support women and their birth companions to be prepared to welcome their baby with greater confidence, knowing that they are active participants in the birth and may have all sorts of options to choose from along the way.
Hypnobirthing® can and does change lives and I love observing the transformations that begin to take place from the word go in my classes.
The benefits of a positive, gentle, dignified birthing experience can last a lifetime and I believe that good quality preparation is key.
Feel free to call or email me if you have any questions or would like to find out how I can positively contribute to your unique birthing experience.
Moran Liviani; CLD (CBI) Doula, LCCE, PES, HBCE, SBD
My name is Moran and I am a mother of 3 healthy and beautiful girls. My passion into HypnoBirthing and supporting mums through this journey through labour and birth has come from my own experiences and the influence and profound effect that the power of the mind can have on our pregnancy, birthing experience and post partum period. I have personally witnessed what a disempowering birth can do to us mentally and physically and through sheer determination, mental exercises, willingness and true profound inner strength how you can have a positive birthing experience.
I teach group and private HypnoBirthing classes in the central Brisbane area.
I also offer Doula services and have attended many births now as a doula and it is such a rewarding experience to be present for the parents that I work with in aiding them enjoy the birth experience which will leave an imprint for a lifetime. I work in births in any setting and all circumstances, from home birth, birthing centre to hospital births and have witnessed the most AMAZING births imaginable.
I am a true believer that “when you change the way you think about birth, the way you birth will change’ ~ Marie Mongan
Tere Garnons-Williams; HBCE
Tere’s passion to support women during the childbearing years has come from personal experience (homebirth mother of one daughter); and her role as a long-time midwife in homes and hospitals; in remote, rural and urban communities. She strives to be ‘with women’, her knowledge gained through the sciences, the arts and the crafts of Midwifery, which now includes the knowledge of HypnoBirthing. Sources of her education vary and include formal, informal, research and story telling. As a woman, mother and midwife, her philosophy reflects that of HypnnBirthing International: that women’s bodies are sacrosanct; that childbirth is not to be feared as it is a natural expression of life…” She strongly believes women’s bodies and their babies know how to birth and that the “birthing of our children should be experienced calmly and joyfully”.
